Powers: His supernatural ability is the amplification of kinetic force. The use of his abilities is accompanied by a slight blurring of his forearm and hand (or lower legs and feet in the case of his movement powers) along with a sharp crack, like that of a whip.

Background: Aaron was born in Barstow, CA. He grew up loving baseball, starting with tee ball when he was six. As soon as he was old enough, he showed a great aptitude for pitching. However, once he got into high school, his pitch speed was lagging behind his control. He would spend hours at the practice field throwing pitches, hoping the repetition would strengthen his arm. It was during one such throwing session that his Quantum Leap occurred.

Late one summer afternoon he was alone at the practice field throwing pitches. He had been at it for hours and pushing his arm to the limit. During a pitch, he heard a loud snap and for an instant feared that he had suffered some structural injury in his arm. It took him a few seconds to process that the lack of pain wasn’t due to shock or nerve damage, but in fact a sign he wasn’t injured after all. Then he noticed that a wooden board on the backstop had been reduced to splinters by his pitch.

After subsequent trial and error, he figured out that he could throw any object with a supernatural amount of force (though to the detriment of his baseball aspirations, without any extra velocity or range). He found he could even amplify the force of the slightest touch, either damaging an object or pushing it away.

Holding on to his dreams of playing baseball despite the prohibition on Quantums in sports, he kept his powers hidden. However, after four years as a middling player mostly riding the bench for his high school team, he finally gave up on baseball at the end of his senior year. He moved to Los Angeles and started studying to be an EMT.

It wasn’t until a few months into his EMT career the thought about doing anything with his powers. The area he worked was plagued by violent crime, and after loading a few too many victims into his ambulance he decided to fight the source of the crime as well as tending to the victims. By this time, he figured that he’d been hiding his abilities too long to reveal them publicly. Donning a mask, he started moonlighting as a vigilante.

He lasted a few years (and made a few enemies) before DOSA finally caught up to him….
